We’re working with a well-established main contractor who are looking to appoint a Project Planner to join their growing team. This is a key role supporting the Planning Manager and site teams in the preparation, coordination, and management of project programmes from tender through to construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing tender programmes and converting them into Master Construction Programmes
- Liaise with Planning Manager, Construction Directors and Contract Managers to finalise and update programmes
- Report progress and programme slippage to senior stakeholders
- Prepare method statements, logistics plans, and periodic reviews of key project timelines
- Maintain programme databases (Gateway) and ensure document control compliance
- Uphold Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards in line with ISO requirements
- Support company CPD, sustainability, and CSR initiatives
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ planning experience in a construction environment
- Proficient in Asta Powerproject and/or Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project lifecycle
- Excellent reporting and communication skills
- Competent with Microsoft Office
- Experience working on live construction sites
- CSR or CSCS card
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools
- Understanding of tender documents, contracts, and commercial planning
- Knowledge of web-based document management systems
- CIOB accreditation
