Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term client relationships, and securing strategic projects that align with the company's growth objectives.
The ideal candidate will have previous business development experience within the fit-out, interiors, or construction sector
, with high-end residential and hospitality experience being highly desirable.
You\'ll have an excellent understanding of the market, an established network of industry contacts, and the ability to generate new business opportunities.
A large part of the role will involve meeting prospective clients, representing the business within the industry, and securing opportunities to tender for high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across the construction, interior fit-out, and joinery sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
- Build, manage, and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities, ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM management.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), tender opportunities, and wider business development activities.
- Represent the business at networking events, industry functions, and client meetings to raise brand awareness and generate opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to support the company\'s strategic growth plans.
- Work closely with the Business Development Director, estimating, commercial, and delivery teams to maximise tender success.
Skills and Requirements
- Proven experience in a Business Development role within the construction, interiors, or fit-out industry
- Experience within high-end residential and/or hospitality fit-out would be highly advantageous.
- An established network of industry contacts with the ability to generate and convert new business opportunities.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify valuable opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems.
- Confident engaging with clients, consultants, and senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and results-driven.
