We are looking for a reliable and organised Forklift Truck Driver / Goods In Operator to support the efficient running of our Goods In department. Reporting directly to the Goods In Manager, you will be responsible for receiving, checking, storing and distributing deliveries, whilst maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring high standards of housekeeping and safety throughout the warehouse and yard areas.

Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm

Reporting To: Goods In Manager

Requirement: Valid Forklift Truck Licence

Key Responsibilities

  • Goods In & Deliveries
    • Receive and check supplier deliveries against delivery notes and purchase orders.
    • Carry out 100% accuracy checks on incoming goods.
    • Safely handle a variety of products, including glass and mirrors.
    • Report any discrepancies, damages or shortages.
  • Stock Control
    • Accurately label, wrap and store deliveries in the correct locations.
    • Maintain accurate stock records and stock counts.
    • Allocate stock to projects as required.
    • Monitor and manage consumables and free stock levels.
  • Picking & Dispatch
    • Assist with picking, wrapping, labelling and checking products for site deliveries.
    • Prepare and issue delivery notes.
    • Ensure outgoing goods are accurate and ready for dispatch.
  • Warehouse Operations
    • Maintain clean, safe and organised working areas.
    • Support the transfer of production pallets between departments as required.
    • Assist with general warehouse and yard duties.

Skills & Experience

  • Valid Forklift Truck Licence.
  • Previous experience within a Goods In, Warehouse or Stores environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
