A design-led luxury residential joinery and interiors business delivering high-end private residential projects across London, New York, and international markets is looking to appoint a Group-level Head of Commercial / Commercial Director reporting directly to the CEO.

The role will take ownership of the full commercial function across estimating, tendering, bid strategy, contract governance, margin control, and profitability performance across both UK and US operations. A key priority is strengthening commercial discipline, improving bid conversion quality, and supporting a planned doubling of turnover over the next three years.

The business operates across:

  • Production-led projects (bespoke joinery, cabinetry, high-end furniture – B2B)
  • Design-led luxury interior delivery with leading architects and designers (B2C)

Working closely with the CEO, Finance Director, Operations Director, Design leadership, and international General Managers, this role will ensure projects are selected strategically, priced correctly, and delivered profitably.

Candidate profile:

  • Proven experience operating at Commercial Director / Group Commercial leadership level
  • Strong background in joinery, bespoke interiors, luxury residential, specialist manufacturing, fit-out, or high-end construction
  • Deep expertise in tender leadership, bid strategy, pricing governance, contract negotiation, and margin recovery
  • Strong track record managing commercial and estimating teams
  • Executive-level presence with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior internal stakeholders
  • Able to combine strategic leadership with hands-on bid and margin decision-making
  • Credible partner to CEO and board on growth-versus-risk commercial decisions
