We are recruiting for a Site Manager to join a respected UK civil engineering contractor, working on a project in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager who is passionate about delivering projects to the highest standard while advancing their career.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing critical aspects of the project, ensuring commercial performance, and maintaining site safety and quality. You will work closely with the Project Manager, site teams, and clients to deliver successful outcomes.
Duration: Long Term Project
Hours: 10-12 hour shifts
Planning & Delivery
- Ensure gangs are set up to succeed β right kit, right information, right conditions
- Lead clear, structured morning briefings β setting expectations for safety, quality, and outputs
- Run daily planning and debrief sessions with foremen to track performance and improve
Safety, Quality & Control
Commercial Awareness
- Identify changes, inefficiencies, or additional works as they arise
- Ensure these are captured early, clearly communicated, and supported with records
- Ensure foremen and engineers complete daily records, allocation sheets, and quality documentation
- Maintain accurate site records to support progress, change, and commercial position
Previous experience as a Site Manager on a similar project is required, along with experience within the groundworks, civils & infrastructure sectors. A valid Management CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid certification is also necessary.
