I am currently seeking a Draughtsman / Draughtsperson for work involving steel work and architectural metal work around Basildon (Essex). This role is open to contract or a permanent position for the right candidate.

  • Prepare detailed and accurate technical drawings for steel and architectural metal work, including structural components, frames, and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and design specifications.
  • Produce 2D and 3D models.
  • Conduct site visits to gather measurements and assess project requirements.
  • Modify and revise designs based on feedback from clients, engineers, or project managers.
  • Prepare fabrication and assembly instructions for manufacturing teams.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and material lists.

Experience as a draughtsman / draughtsperson or similar. Previous experience with steel work and architectural metal work or similar. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools. Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
