About the Company\\nWe are a specialist construction contractor delivering complex structural alterations, basements, refurbishments, and high-spec fit-outs across London and the South East. With a reputation for technical precision, collaboration, and quality delivery, we work on architecturally ambitious residential and commercial projects for some of the UK’s leading clients and consultants.\\nOverview\\nThe Assistant Site Manager plays a supporting role in the delivery of construction projects, working under the guidance of a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager. This position suits individuals with a minimum of 2 years' experience on-site and is intended as a developmental step toward a Site Manager role.\\nThe role combines hands-on involvement with project administration, with a strong emphasis on health and safety, record-keeping, sub-contractor coordination, and progress reporting.\\nCore Responsibilities\\nProject Start-Up\\n * Establish on-site filing systems (both physical and digital)\\n * Set up Health & Safety documentation in accordance with the Construction Phase Plan\\n * Prepare and maintain project records including subcontractor packages, contact lists, and timelines\\n * Assist with implementation of quality control procedures\\n * Support the setup and maintenance of the project file on Procore\\nProject Delivery\\n * Support Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Company H&S Policy and Construction Phase Plan\\n * Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and complete weekly H&S inspections\\n * File and monitor subcontractor and internal method statements\\n * Assist in coordinating subcontractor attendance and progress against programme\\n * Help organise labour, plant, and materials within programme and budget constraints\\n * Support setting out duties where required\\n * Assist in preparation of client reports and neighbour communication bulletins\\n * Contribute to programming updates and track project progress\\n * Maintain accurate site records including diaries, marked drawings, photographs, RFIs, CVIs, minutes, and labour logs\\n * Support contract administration including issuance of formal notices, letters, and instructions in line with project timelines\\n * Adhere to Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements\\n * Promote waste minimisation and material reuse\\n * Provide administrative support to the Site Manager\\nProject Close-Out\\n * Ensure all project documentation is filed and archived appropriately\\n * Assist in the preparation of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals prior to Practical Completion\\n * Continue administrative support through project close\\nGeneral Duties\\n * Maintain up-to-date professional qualifications and certifications\\n * Share project learning and best practices with peers\\n * Ensure compliance with Business Management System (BMS)\\n * Identify and report areas for process improvement, innovation, or change\\n * Undertake any additional responsibilities relevant to the role
