The role:

  • As a Systems Engineer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary.
  • You’ll join a growing and dynamic systems engineering team delivering critical work across a major nuclear programme.
  • Day‑to‑day, you’ll be required to:
    • Deliver systems engineering activities including requirements engineering, system design and integration planning.
    • Support technical reviews and contribute to system development across the project lifecycle.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated solutions.
    • Manage requirements, assumptions, and risks to support successful project outcomes.
    • Work as part of a specialist systems engineering team within a larger programme environment.

This full‑time role is based across our Bristol or Warrington sites, working a 37‑hour week, with hybrid working patterns available.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in requirements engineering, systems architecture, interface management, or integration, verification and validation.
  • Demonstrable experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Understanding of the full engineering or project lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting technical reviews and engineering governance processes.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools or structured systems engineering approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
  • Awareness of systems engineering standards such as those developed by the International Council on Systems Engineering is desirable.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
