The role

As a Junior Security Administrator, you play a vital role in protecting people, information and critical infrastructure within a major national defence programme. Supporting the Head of Security and wider security team, you help ensure security processes operate smoothly, compliantly and effectively across a highly regulated environment. The role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and is based at our Warrington site. Hybrid working patterns are available, and some travel to other Cavendish Nuclear, Babcock and customer sites will be expected.

Day‑to‑day, You’ll Be Required To:

  • Providing personnel security advice in line with current HMG and company security policy
  • Managing security clearance processes, including upgrades, transfers and access requests
  • Maintaining accurate security records, spreadsheets and compliance data using Microsoft Excel
  • Coordinating starters, leavers, site access and visitor processes across secure facilities
  • Supporting audits, training compliance and general administration for the Security team

Essential Experience Of The Junior Security Administrator:

  • Experience in an administrative, coordination or support role within a structured environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage data accurately
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment

Qualifications For The Junior Security Administrator:

  • Membership with the Defence and Security Industry Association (DISA) or the Security Institute is highly desirable

Security Clearance
