The Role: This role sits at the heart of how Cavendish Nuclear expands and delivers its mission. You will lead bid activities, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and create solutions that stand out in a competitive marketplace. The work you do will safeguard the UK’s energy future, strengthen national capability, and advance your own development as part of a growing, future‐focused organisation. This is a full‐time role of 37 hours per week. Hybrid working arrangements are available with office presence as required by project. Travel to other Cavendish Nuclear and customer sites will be expected.

Day‐to‐day Responsibilities:

  • Lead on Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality to ensure every project meets the highest standards.
  • Manage the customer interface while identifying, assessing, and responding to project risks, opportunities and emerging issues.
  • Establish effective project governance with clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Drive world‐class delivery through strong team engagement, continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Plan and monitor project performance (profit and loss), preparing clear, accurate reports and implementing corrective actions when required.

Essential Experience:

  • Recent and relevant experience leading projects within a similar engineering or technical environment.
  • Significant experience in project management, including multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Understanding of contracting methodologies such as FIDIC, NEC3 or JCT.
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle from bid to close‐out.
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships internally, externally and across supply chains.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or working towards it.

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
