This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.
The role
As a Project Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. This offers an exciting opportunity to utilise your experience in a cross-functional site-based project environment to facilitate communications, track progress and help achieve project goals.
Day-to-day, you’ll be supporting the planning, execution and monitoring of Site Wide projects which involves assisting the Leads by coordinating project activities, managing project documentation and ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and timelines.
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and aligned with project goals.
- Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the Project Manager.
- Schedule and organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
- Prepare regular status reports and update project stakeholders on progress.
- Serve as a point of contact for project team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week, and is based on site at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater.
Essential Experience Of The Project Engineer
- Demonstrable experience with maintaining project documentation, plans, scheduled and reports
- Excellent communication and stakeholder (internal & external) engagement skills
- Experience working on complex projects or within Joint Ventures is greatly advantageous
- Experience with the use of reporting tools and MS Application, incl. Excel
Qualifications For The Project Engineer
- Degree in Engineering Based subject or relevant experience is highly advantageous
- CCNSG/MAPS is required upon starting role
