The role involves leading quality assurance across accredited laboratory operations within a highly regulated, high-hazard nuclear environment. Your expertise protects safety, ensures compliance, and enables confident decision-making across complex programmes. This is a permanent role, 37 hours per week, based full time at Greeson Court in Moor Row, Cumbria. Flexible working options can be discussed where business needs allow.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Lead and prioritise quality management activities using risk and opportunity management tools
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on the flow-down of quality requirements across the supply chain
  • Investigate quality events effectively, ensuring lessons learned are identified and shared
  • Support business winning activities, contributing to tender reviews and quality input
  • Coach and influence teams at all levels to deliver quality plans and performance targets

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in quality management within nuclear or another highly regulated, high-hazard industry
  • Demonstrable leadership of ISO 17025 accredited management systems
  • Strong experience conducting and leading quality audits
  • A track record of influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Science or Engineering, or equivalent qualification supported by relevant experience
  • Approved Auditor qualification or demonstrable auditing capability
  • Professional quality qualifications are advantageous

Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
