At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Finance Manager at our Warrington or Bristol sites.

The role:

  • Support a programme within our Nuclear Defence Support business stream.
  • Provide accurate financial positions, forecasting, cost reconciliations, journal entries, supporting audits, and monthly reporting to assist the Project Director and client.
  • Support governance processes (head contract, supply chain, work packages).
  • Review & consolidate EAC for the entire programme, including net profit.
  • Produce monthly rolling forecasts and annual budgets, linked to resource demand management and RDEC tracking.
  • Attend monthly meetings to highlight issues and provide financial support.
  • Prepare monthly reports (P&L, cash flow, order book, KPIs, debt, accruals, billing).
  • Oversee supply chain cost accruals and revenue recognition.
  • Manage project risk allocations for fixed-price contracts.

This position involves travel and working across various internal and customer sites. It is a full-time role (37 hours/week) based at Warrington or Bristol with hybrid working (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

Essential Experience:

  • Understanding of project controls, interaction with cost engineers, planners, QS, project controls managers.
  • Experience in delivering large, complex programmes, preferably in nuclear, oil & gas, or construction sectors.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts is advantageous.
  • Strong numeracy, communication, and computer skills (MS Office).

Qualifications:

  • CIMA qualified accountant with post-qualified experience; ACA or ACCA considered.

Security Clearance:
