As a Mechanical Quality Manager, you will take a leading role in assuring the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of one of the UK's largest and most complex nuclear new-build projects. This is a rare opportunity to influence an engineering programme of national importance, supporting the delivery of clean-energy infrastructure while enhancing your career in defence, aerospace, and engineering.

Day-to-day, you will be required to:

  • Manage and assure mechanical documentation, inspection records, and handover readiness.
  • Drive quality performance by tracking compliance, identifying trends, and escalating risks.
  • Raise, monitor, and close nonconformance reports, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Conduct surveillance checks, ensuring regulatory expectations and nuclear safety standards are met.
  • Provide expert guidance to project teams, acting as the lead quality authority for your discipline.

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week, based on site at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset.

Essential Experience of the Mechanical Quality Manager:

  • Recognised auditor qualification and proven experience delivering quality assurance.
  • Engineering or quality-related background aligned to mechanical discipline.
  • Strong experience working on major engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability within a project or team setting.
  • Experience promoting a strong quality culture, with exposure to completions, records assurance, or nuclear/alliance environments.

Qualifications for the Mechanical Quality Manager:

  • Recognised auditor qualification.
  • Engineering or quality-related qualifications supporting discipline specialism.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
