At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as an Environmental Laboratory Analyst, at our Greeson Court, Westlakes Science Park site.
The role:
- As an Environmental Laboratory Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As part of the analytical team, you will deliver efficient analytical services to customers in line with aspects of safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Assist in the delivery of assigned programmes of work to support the overall delivery of analytical results to time and quality.
- Comply with the laboratory quality management systems to support accreditation.
- Comply with processes and procedures to enable safe working practices.
- Work as part of an effective team to support and coach each other to provide a consistent and efficient level of service.
- Identify and report issues to maintain and improve operational capability and level of service.
- Assist with the validation of new and existing techniques and equipment prior to use to comply with quality systems.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Westlakes Science Park, Whitehaven.
Note: The successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment.
Essential Experience:
- Experience in analytical chemistry.
- Aware of conventional and radiological safety.
- Aware of ISO17025 standard.
Qualifications:
- Science A Level at grade A to C or equivalent and/or significant practical laboratory experience.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
