About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Tendering Engineer (Major Projects) to join our clients team. You will support the Major Projects division, delivering high-quality tenders across complex electrical infrastructure projects, including DNO/iDNO contestable works (33kV132kV) and renewable energy balance of plant works (DC/LV up to 132kV).
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage tenders for multiple and major projects on time and within budget
- Ensure compliance with HASAWA, NRSWA, C.O.S.H.H. and other legislation
- Manage costing, pricing, and quotation preparation
- Identify commercial opportunities and report to senior leadership
- Develop project programmes using MS Project (desirable)
- Conduct post-project financial and delivery reviews
- Produce job handover packs and attend handover meetings
- Collaborate with teams across the organisation
- Represent the company at customer and stakeholder meetings
- Attend site surveys when required
- Ensure all tenders are submitted accurately and on time
About You
Qualifications: Degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years experience in HV new connections tendering with experience at 132kV
- Strong knowledge of HV electrical systems and new connections sector
- Experience with Microsoft Project and CAD
- Commercial awareness in multi-disciplinary environments
- Knowledge of health & safety standards and risk assessment
