  • We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Purchasing Manager to lead and develop our procurement function.
  • This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage a small team of Buyers, take ownership of supplier relationships, and ensure the business secures the best possible value across all categories.
  • The role is office-based in Daventry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and continuously improve purchasing and procurement processes.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal results on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Monitor, analyse, and forecast material and product demand to ensure consistent supply and efficient stock levels.
  • Review spend data to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, ensuring long-term value and minimising supply chain risk.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and implement improvement plans where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including operations, production, and finance to ensure a smooth and reliable supply chain.

The Person

  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, ideally at Manager level.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Commercially astute, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Strong IT literacy and familiarity with procurement or ERP systems.
  • This is an office-based role. Suitable candidates will live within a commutable distance of Daventry.
