A leading supplier of textiles/soft furnishings products to both the retail and contract interiors markets, our client is currently looking to add an experienced Quality Manager to their senior management team.
The Role: The Quality Manager will lead the Quality, Compliance, and Technical Innovation functions within this market-leading business. A strategic, hands-on role where you will champion a culture of quality across the business’ global supply chain. There are three core aspects to this role that work in combination with each other to drive the overall vision:
- Technical innovation - lead the technical developments to innovate solutions for the marketplace; from environmental compliance, cost reduction and technical enhancements for the customer, resulting in a competitive edge. Working with global partners and raw material suppliers to be a technical innovation leader within the industry.
- Compliance - lead the compliance function, assessing necessary industry compliance and driving supply chain activities to ensure that compliance is met and retained, taking into consideration the necessary testing and compliance required, whilst considering commercial return on investment.
- Quality Assurance - champion of the quality culture, leading the strategic development of the Quality function, driving and maintaining standards for the company’s product and service offer.
Salary: upto £55,000 (DOE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead quality strategy, systems, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee compliance with UK and international quality standards (e.g. REACH, Oeko-Tex)
- Drive technical innovation in product development and sourcing
- Manage supplier relationships, testing processes, and product specifications
- Implement and maintain QA processes, KPIs, SLAs, and SOPs
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small quality and compliance team
- Ensure high standards across the full product lifecycle
The Person:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar Quality Management role, within a technical product category
- Experience of the textiles industry (highly desirable)
- Strong knowledge of product testing and manufacturing processes
- Understanding of international compliance and fire-retardant standards (desirable)
- Highly organised with strong leadership and communication skills
- Comfortable working on-site in a hands-on environment
This role is on-site at a Lancashire based office.
