The Role:

  • You will be responsible for developing commercial kitchen layouts and design proposals from both internal and client briefs.
  • This role offers the opportunity to become involved in client-facing activities and would suit a designer looking to expand their technical and commercial exposure while working on high-profile projects.
  • This role would be office based with some flexibility for hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret design briefs accurately and produce detailed kitchen layout drawings.
  • Develop creative and practical design solutions that meet operational, spatial, budgetary, and aesthetic requirements.
  • Prepare presentation drawings and supporting materials for client submissions.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, sales teams, and project managers throughout the design process.
  • Coordinate visualisations and presentation assets where required.
  • Produce detailed technical drawings, including gas, water, electrical, drainage, and lighting service requirements.
  • Assist with the maintenance and development of CAD and REVIT libraries.
  • Support projects from concept design through to installation and completion.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Passion for design with a strong eye for detail.
  • Previous experience within commercial kitchen design, foodservice design, or a related construction environment.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Strong technical drawing and detailing capabilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Experience using REVIT.
  • Understanding of BIM processes and standards.
  • Basic knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) building services.
  • Experience working on hospitality, leisure, or foodservice projects.
