A senior, strategic sales role with a leading consumer goods supplier. Work with leading brands across garden, DIY, giftware and leisure channels. Be supported by a long established and ambitious, privately owned business.
Reporting to the Head of Outdoor and leading a team of 6, including the Field Sales Manager and our National and Key Account Managers, you will own the UK sales strategy across the DIY, hardware, garden, giftware and leisure sectors. This is a senior, strategic opportunity to shape trading relationships with major UK retailers, direct pricing and promotional negotiations, and build the omnichannel foundations for sustained market-share growth across strong outdoor product portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and deliver the national retail strategy, including sales, margin and market-share objectives
- Build senior relationships and joint business plans with major UK retailers and buying groups
- Lead pricing, trading and promotional negotiations
- Drive omnichannel and ecommerce growth alongside physical retail
- Own UK sales forecasting, pipeline and P&L performance
- Lead, coach and develop the wider sales team into strategic account managers

Candidate profile
This role will suit a Head of Sales / Sales Director level candidate with an expert knowledge in the supply of non-food consumer goods across multiple sales channels. Within your CV we should also see:
- Significant senior sales leadership experience and expertise in UK retail
- Strong knowledge of DIY, hardware, garden, giftware, leisure or related consumer goods sectors
- Proven success managing major national accounts and securing listings, ranging and revenue growth
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience across physical and ecommerce retail channels.
Salary/Benefits Information
