About the Company:

  • A market leading, specialist Insurance Company are looking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious Commercial Underwriter to join their team.
  • The role will focus on two core markets, sport and leisure, and alcohol (think distilleries and breweries).
  • If you are ambitious, driven, and want to work for a company who are specialists in what they do, (with a reputation for doing it very well) then this is an opportunity worth exploring.

Responsible For The Following:

  • Underwriting and placement of risks across the following markets – sports and leisure commercial combined and alcohol commercial combined.
  • Ad hoc scheme for commercial insurance.
  • Managing SLAs.
  • Supporting, growing and nurturing broker relationships.
  • Accountable for renewal and new business.
  • Accountable for management and maintenance of rating guides.
  • Managing the performance of Underwriting Assistant/s.

Experience and Attributes Required:

  • Commercial combined (property and casualty) experience required, either from an underwriting or broking background.
  • An interest to work in a specialist area (sport and leisure or alcohol).
  • You must take pride in the quality of your work and the development of your broker relationships.
  • Strong communication and IT skills.

Salary/Benefits Information:

  • Up to £45,000 + Exceptional Bonus + Benefits Package
  • Over 30 days holiday.
