A rare opening has arisen following the planned retirement of a long-serving and highly regarded Account Director at one of the market's leading insurance broking groups. Based in Bristol with hybrid working, you will take full ownership of a diverse UK client portfolio spanning mid-market to large corporate and international risks, with client turnovers ranging from £10m to £500m+.

You will be supported by one of the most dynamic commercial broking teams in the market, with access to specialist resources across the wider group.

  • Manage and develop an established client portfolio, delivering expert risk advice and outstanding service.
  • Identify organic growth opportunities within the existing book and cross-refer into specialist teams.
  • Act as a trusted risk adviser at senior/board level across a broad range of commercial lines.
  • Ensure full FCA regulatory compliance and maintain the business’s high governance standards.
  • Proven track record as a senior Account Executive or Account Director in commercial insurance broking.
  • Demonstrable expertise managing complex client portfolios, including mid-market and large corporate risks.
  • Strong technical knowledge across core commercial lines; Board-level communication skills and the gravitas to act as a genuine risk adviser.
