In this role you will be supporting customers (garden machinery dealerships) through product demonstration, training and education in order to increase sales. Home based, you will travel extensively throughout the UK in order to:

  • Regularly visit established dealers to provide demonstrations, training and product support.
  • Attend new demonstration appointments arranged by the Area Sales Manager or Dealers.
  • Follow up enquiries from commercial end-users that come through head office.
  • Achieve expert knowledge of all products.
  • Attend consumer and trade events as required.
  • Work with dealers to achieve high standards in areas of product knowledge and showroom displays.
  • Report regularly to the Country Manager against agreed KPIs.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork with shared learning and best practice.

The job holder will continue the company’s customer-led approach to supporting dealers to build mutually strong partnerships. Your experience is likely to be within:

  • A garden machinery dealership with knowledge of the needs of professional end-users.
  • A groundscare contractor or arborist with a knowledge of product applications.
  • A different field but with a passion for outdoor products and the environment.
  • A retail setting with a desire for a new challenge.

Additional requirements are:

  • First class communication skills and a confident public speaker.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills. Able to manage shifting priorities.
  • Hardworking prepared for long days and overnight stays.
  • A natural interest in outdoor powered products and a thirst to improve knowledge to expert level.
  • Energetic, resilient, gregarious with a positive outlook.

The successful candidate will enjoy a basic salary of £34,000 plus a company van, full training, home based support, 25 days paid holiday, 5% pension contribution, mobile and laptop.
