The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Due to planned growth my client is looking to strengthen its sales force with the key appointment of an individual to cover Scotland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham. You will be responsible for the development of sales of floorcoverings products to Independent Retailers, Garden Centres Distributors and Interior Designers within the defined geographical area. You will be required to form a close working relationship with your key customers at all levels, this coupled with working closely with your distribution base to manage the supply chain for ongoing projects.
Day to Day duties will include:
- Managing your area to deliver sales revenue targets.
- Building relationships with new and existing customers; advising and influencing them to grow sales.
- Cleverly utilising sales decks to deliver market leading presentations introducing customers to new products and ranges.
- Utilising and upkeeping point of sale and sampling.
- Managing customer pricing quotations and terms to protect margins while driving sales forward.
- Seeking out and winning strong stock selling opportunities.
- Report back on any competitor activity.
- Maintaining regular communication with line manager and other departments as required.
- Ensuring timely delivery of any customer complaints to customer service department.

- External sales experience with a history of working to targets.
- Previous experience within the UK flooring industry would be beneficial but not essential.
- Applications from the DIY, Gardening and Commercial Interiors markets would be welcomed.
- Individual sales success – in a retail, wholesale or other customer-facing role.
- A premium brand mindset with an interest in quality products and brand loyalty.
- Strong organisation skills and experience of working with CRM or similar systems.
- A strong work ethic and a passion for exploring new opportunities to build business.
- Strong numerical reasoning.
