This leading supplier in tools and machinery is looking for an experienced and commercially focused Buyer to join our team, sourcing products from China and the Far East.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and source suitable new products for the company portfolio
- Managing stock levels, forecasting and purchase orders
- Liaising with overseas suppliers and freight agents
- Managing product sourcing, pricing and supplier negotiations
- Supporting new product launches and product lifecycle management
- Monitoring product quality, compliance and warranty issues
Requirements
- Previous buying/procurement experience
- Experience working with overseas suppliers, ideally China and the Far East
- Strong negotiation and organisational skills
- Good understanding of supply chain and stock management
- Commercially aware with excellent communication skills
