Most Account Handler roles talk about servicing clients. This one is about understanding them. Understanding how businesses operate, where they’re exposed, and how insurance becomes a tool for growth, not just protection. We’re looking for a Corporate Account Handler who wants to be close to clients, working alongside experienced Account Directors on complex, often international programmes, and playing a real role in how those clients are advised. This is for someone building a long-term career in client service at the corporate end of the market.

The Role

You’ll manage a portfolio of corporate clients, typically £50m to £500m turnover, across a broad mix of sectors including manufacturing, engineering, food and drink, retail, technology and life science. This is a varied portfolio role, handling around 15 to 30 clients of differing size and complexity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing cross-class risks including property, liability, motor, fleet, cyber and professional indemnity.
  • Acting as a key day-to-day contact, building strong client relationships.
  • Working closely with Account Directors on complex placements and programme design.
  • Handling renewals, mid-term adjustments and general servicing.
  • Preparing market submissions and negotiating with insurers.
  • Identifying gaps in cover and supporting cross-sell and upsell.
