A market-leading Specialist Insurance Company are looking to recruit an insurance professional to support the continued growth of their Commercial Underwriting team. They seek a motivated and ambitious individual who is keen to progress their insurance career with a well-regarded Insurer. They have an established induction and training program, so you will receive support and training to develop as an Underwriter while gaining exposure to a range of Commercial risks across Liability, Property and SME.

You’ll deal with broker referrals and maintain and develop broker relationships. You’ll use your excellent customer service skills to manage new business enquiries, renewals, and mid-term adjustments within the underwriting appetite of our Insurer partners. You’ll contribute to growth and retention strategy targets by negotiating terms and securing renewals, whilst working within your personal license authority.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Previous commercial insurance experience, gained within either Underwriting or Broking.
  • Knowledge of underwriting principles and practice.
  • Good risk analysis and technical skills.
  • A commitment to good customer care.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Strong team-working skills.
  • Progression towards Cert CII or willingness to learn.
  • A full driving licence would be an advantage.

Salary/Benefits Information:

  • Salary up to £36,000 depending on experience.
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Contributory pension scheme.
