Job Overview
This is a hands‑on role within a small accounts team, with primary responsibility for Accounts Payable function.
The role suits someone who enjoys ownership, improving processes in a fast‑paced environment.
- Main Tasks
- Accounts Payable & Expenses
- Full ownership of the purchase ledger, including supplier setup, invoice processing, supplier reconciliations
- Managing the Accounts inbox
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs
- Reconciliation of credit card transactions
- Processing of staff expenses and preparing the payment run
- Team & Ad-hoc Support
- Provide cover and support across the finance function as required during periods of annual leave
- Support process improvements and ad‑hoc finance projects as required
Qualifications, Skills & competencies required
- Desire to complete accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- A minimum of a 2.1 university degree in science, finance or accounting.
- Excellent and consistent record of academic achievement, with strong A-level grades
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and multitask
- AAT qualification (or studying towards)
- Good working knowledge of Excel skills (e. g. lookups, reconciliations)
- Exposure to Power BI, SQL or similar reporting tools

- Proactive and willing to take ownership in a small team environment
- Strong communication skills with confidence dealing with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Organised methodical and able to produce accurate work at pace
