South West and Midlands Account Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Cave Direct as our Southwest and Midlands Account Manager.

Founded in 1979 and still family owned, Cave Direct is one of the U.K’s leading independent, speciality beer importers and distributors who pride ourselves on working with some of the most respected and exciting brands from around the world.
With a portfolio of more than 250 beers, the position will suit someone who is passionate, not just about the great beer we supply but also about building strong relationships & effective communication within your area. You must have the drive, ambition and sales nous to help develop what is a growing area for Cave Direct.
We are looking for candidates with relevant experience in the industry and who ideally live in the area; however, we are also open to applications from candidates with less experience (or outside these areas) who show potential to develop into the role.
For the right candidate we can offer a salary and package commensurate with their experience and potential along with the opportunity to progress within Cave Direct as we continue to grow. A bonus is also payable linked to individual and/or company performance.
Role Overview
Working alongside our team of 10 account managers nationwide, you will report directly into our South regional Head of Sales. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and maintaining the relationship between Cave Direct and our free trade customers.
- Working with our Key Account Manager to grow new business.
- Finding new business to help grow our portfolio of imported and domestic brands.
- Hosting and attending tastings, trainings, and events for both potential customers and current accounts.
- Days out in trade with representatives from our core breweries.
- Managing your own diary to make the most efficient use of your time.
- Managing and driving the success of your own area to achieve targets.
Key Attributes
- Previous sales experience is preferred.
- Driving licence is essential.
- Previous bar experience and knowledge of cellar maintenance is beneficial.
- Previous use of CRM systems is preferred but not essential.
- Full‑time role (40 hours per week); evening work expected.
- Company vehicle or car allowance can be provided.
- All necessary IT and phone can be provided.
- All necessary work expenses covered.
- 28 days holiday per year including bank holidays.
- Discounts on beer from our sister company, Beermerchants.com.
- Trips to producers and events both in the U.K. and abroad.
£35,000 + (negotiable on experience), plus an achievable earn‑as‑you‑sell based bonus which is capped at £5,000 per quarter.
