About the Company: Founded in 1979 and still family owned, Cave Direct is one of the U.K’s leading independent, speciality beer importers and distributors who pride ourselves on working with some of the most respected and exciting brands from around the world. With a portfolio of over 250 exceptional beers, we’re looking for someone who’s not only passionate about the beer we sell, but also about bringing our brands to life. This role is perfect for a creative, strategic marketer who’s excited to tell compelling brand stories and grow their presence in the UK. You’ll take the lead in shaping and executing our marketing strategy across digital platforms, trade channels, and in-person experiences.
We are looking for candidates with relevant experience in the industry and who ideally live in London; however, we are also open to applications from candidates with less experience (or outside these areas) who show potential to develop into the role. For the right candidate, we can offer a salary and package commensurate with their experience and potential along with the opportunity to progress within Cave Direct as we continue to grow.
Role Overview:
- Own and evolve our marketing strategy for both Cave Direct and Beermerchants across digital, trade, and events.
- Create compelling campaigns that connect breweries, customers, and drinkers.
- Collaborate with our sales team to support growth through smart, on-brand content.
- Run our email marketing, website, and social media presence.
- Manage and develop our core breweries brand plans and ensure they shine in the UK market.
- Plan and execute events, tastings, and industry activations.
- Lead our approach to social media – shaping strategy and planning, creating and executing content across all platforms.
- Collaborate with our venue the Beermerchants Tap to coordinate promotions and events.
- Create digital and physical assets for each campaign.
- Measure success and tweak what works.
Key Attributes:
- 3+ years in marketing, ideally in drinks, FMCG, or hospitality.
- A balance of creative thinking and commercial focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and flexibility to meet deadlines.
- Strategic yet hands-on marketing approach.
- Proactive, accountable, and self-driven.
- Strong visual sense and attention to detail.
- Confident copywriter with a keen eye for tone and brand voice.
- A genuine interest in craft beer and the people who sell and drink it.
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week). Hours of work will vary and given the nature of the role; evening work is expected. Remote working, but in-person meetings are required at the Beermerchants Tap or our distribution hubs. All necessary IT and phone can be provided. All necessary work expenses covered. 28 days holiday per year including bank holidays. Discounts on beer from our sister company, Beermerchants.com. Trips to producers and events both in the U.K and abroad.
£40,000 +, negotiable on experience. Cave Direct is committed to creating a diverse work environment and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We would encourage people from all backgrounds to apply and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
