The Role
As our Health & Safety Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental strategies. Based at our Head Office with regular site visits throughout the South West, you will oversee safety across construction sites, the office and yard, working closely with operational teams and subcontractors to ensure best practice is embedded in day-to-day activities. You'll conduct audits, lead investigations into incidents and near misses, and deliver training to raise awareness and competence, while continuously refining the health and safety management system.
Additionally, you will:
- Act as the lead competent person for health and safety across the company
- Monitor regulatory updates and ensure compliance with the latest legislation
- Liaise with external regulators, consultants and accreditation bodies
- Prepare and present reports and safety data to the senior leadership team
About You
To be considered as our Health & Safety Manager, you will need:
- A minimum of five years experience in health and safety within construction or housebuilding
- Strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management, and incident investigation
- Certified Member of IOSH (CertIOSH) status and be working towards Chartership (CMIOSH) as a minimum
- A NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety
