About the role... At Cooper Parry, we're not your typical accountancy firm. We're here to disrupt, innovate, and make life count, for our clients and our people. Our Business Restructuring & Insolvency team is growing fast, and we're looking for an Insolvency Assistant Manager who's ready to take ownership, lead with confidence, and help us shape the future of the industry.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing corporate insolvency procedures: administrations, liquidations (both solvent and insolvent), and voluntary arrangements.
- Leading some advisory engagements and applying up-to-date knowledge of case law, SIPs, and legislation.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients and IPs, keeping everyone informed and engaged.
- Building strong relationships with professionals: legal teams, valuation agents, referrers.
- Driving progress on cases, resolving challenges, and keeping partners/IPs in the loop.
- Coaching and developing the team: allocating work, reviewing outputs, and providing feedback.
- Managing formal performance reviews and supporting career development.
- Getting involved in marketing and business development, helping us win new work and grow the department.
- Championing new ideas and ways of working to keep us ahead of the curve.
About you...
- Strong experience managing corporate insolvency procedures: liquidations (solvent & insolvent), administrations, and ideally voluntary arrangements.
- Experience in personal insolvency (bankruptcy and voluntary arrangements) is desirable.
- Knowledge of insolvency case law, SIPs, and legislation.
- A confident communicator who can build trust and influence at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage WIP, billing, and case progression.
- Experience leading and developing a team (desirable).
- Commercially savvy with a track record of client handling and (ideally) business development.
- 5+ years insolvency experience (desirable).
- A team player who's passionate about growth.
