About the Role:

We are looking for a cheerful and enthusiastic person to join our catering team at SaxaVord Spaceport. You will help ensure our team, clients, and visitors start their day with a warm welcome and a hearty breakfast. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the UK\’s only operational Spaceport, contributing to a pioneering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in kitchen operations.
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team, maintaining high standards.
  • Support menu planning and food sourcing with a focus on quality and sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Manage kitchen activities during rotational periods, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff for seamless service.
  • Maintain inventory and control stock levels efficiently.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Experience as a Breakfast Chef or similar in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education to Level 5 – Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for quality food and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Flexibility to work in a remote, rotational setting.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in remote or specialized locations is advantageous.
