The Opportunity
Our client, a boutique hotel in the Cromarty area, is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join their busy kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food preparation support. As the location is rural, a driving licence and own vehicle is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation
- Washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
- Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy at all times
- Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Ensuring food hygiene and health & safety standards are followed
- Storing deliveries correctly and managing stock rotation
Requirements
- Driving licence and access to own vehicle essential due to location
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Good time management skills
- Awareness of food hygiene standards (Level 1 or 2 preferred but not essential)
- Previous Kitchen Porter Experience Is Required
Whats on Offer
- £12.50 per hour plus tips (salary works out to approx. £14/£15 per hour)
- Full Time, Permanent contract
- Shift pattern consisting of either 08:00-16:00 or 14:00-22:00 (rota based)
