The Role
As a Marketing Account Manager, you’ll lead client relationships and oversee the delivery of strategic B2B marketing campaigns, predominantly events. You’ll manage internal teams within the agency, project manage events, and ensure campaigns and projects are delivered on time and within budget, while driving measurable results for your clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as the day- to-day point of contact.
- Lead regular client meetings and calls to review timelines, progress, performance, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for further campaign opportunities.
- Address client needs and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction and fostering trust proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
- Understand client businesses, industries, and objectives to provide input into campaigns and guidance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on account status, campaign performance, and key metrics to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Planning and Project Management
- Work closely with the Client Lead and Strategy Director to develop tailored marketing and business development strategies, and deliverables for your client accounts.
- Oversee the execution of marketing and business development activities and campaigns, ensuring alignment with client goals and measurable results.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to provide clients with innovative solutions.
- Prepare presentations, decks and reports for meetings and presentations with clients.
- Account Team Management
- Coordinate teams internally working on your accounts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Request internal resources effectively on your accounts to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Event Management
- Work with clients to define event objectives and success metrics.
- Manage all aspects of event logistics to ensure smooth execution.
- Source and coordinate venues that align with event requirements.
- Identify and secure relevant speakers for events.
- Brief designers to create engaging and effective landing pages, ensuring creative assets align with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
- Attend and manage the event on the day, ensuring smooth delivery and effective stakeholder management.
- Be prepared to travel for events outside the UK as required.

- Manage client and project budgets, ensuring campaigns are delivered within scope and on budget.
- Prepare regular financial updates for your accounts to the Client Lead and Client as requested.
- Track and report on budget performance, ensuring profitability and value delivery.
- Operational Excellence
- Adhere to company processes to ensure high-quality, efficient service delivery across all of the accounts you work on.
- Monitor client satisfaction and highlight challenges with your Client Lead proactively to maintain long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure integrated and effective campaign delivery.
- New Business
- Lead the preparation of proposals and contribute to strategic thinking for new business opportunities, including developing strategic recommendations and coordinating internal contributions.
- Required Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in account management within a B2B marketing agency.
- Proven track record of managing campaigns and client relationships.
- Experience managing budgets and tracking financial performance across client accounts.
- Experience with event execution.
