Job Title

  • Tier 1 Site Manager – Relocation Project (York University)
  • We are seeking an experienced

Tier 1 Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a major relocation project at York University.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site operations, ensuring the relocation is completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to university activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day site operations throughout the relocation project.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, logistics, and stakeholder activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site procedures.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and programme, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Liaise with the client, university representatives, and project team to maintain effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate site records and report on project performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Tier 1 Site Manager on large-scale construction or relocation projects.
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Manager Card), and First Aid at Work certification.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in live operational environments and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and to a high standard.
