We are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a portfolio of retail projects for a major client, including Marks & Spencer. Projects will range from smaller format fit-out schemes through to larger-scale refurbishments and developments. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing multiple projects and supporting commercial teams across a live programme of works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial management of multiple retail projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Oversee cost planning, procurement, and subcontractor management
- Manage valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with commercial targets
- Provide commercial reporting, forecasting, and risk management across the programme
- Support and mentor Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QS teams
- Work closely with operational teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
- Maintain strong commercial control across live retail environments
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Commercial Manager
- Strong background delivering retail projects, ideally including M&S programmes
- Experience managing multiple projects
