We're working with a growing construction business looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support ongoing operations across multiple projects nationwide. This is a great opportunity to join a business that continues to expand, offering long term stability and the chance to play a key role in maintaining and improving safety standards across the company.
Duties include:
- Ensuring full compliance with UK health and safety legislation and industry regulations
- Producing and reviewing site specific RAMS
- Carrying out site inspections across various locations as required
- Undertaking risk assessments and implementing measures to control and reduce hazards
- Managing incident reporting processes, including investigations and follow-up actions
- Overseeing safety training for subcontractors and ensuring all certifications are in place
- Keeping up to date with current legislation and ensuring company-wide compliance
- Developing and maintaining emergency procedures, including carrying out drills
- Liaising with external auditors and accreditation bodies to maintain certifications such as ISO standards and Constructionline
- Writing, reviewing, and communicating health and safety policies and procedures
- Recording and reporting on accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Maintaining accurate records
