Job Title: QA Engineer - Bridge Bearing Replacement Scheme
Location: Stowmarket, Suffolk
Salary: £350-£385 per day DOE - All-in CIS or LTD

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join a major bridge bearing replacement scheme in Stowmarket.
The project involves bearing replacement works on a 350m-long viaduct, approximately 8m high, crossing a railway line and two rivers. The viaduct will require temporary propping.
This is a site-based role with a strong focus on QA/QC, inspections, quality documentation and compliance throughout the project.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a QA Engineer within civil engineering/infrastructure
- Strong bridges and structures experience
- Good knowledge of ITPs, inspections, NCRs and quality documentation
- PTS highly desirable due to the railway interface
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Own laptop/computer and mobile phone required
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day QA/QC activities on site
- Prepare and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Carry out inspections and maintain quality records
- Manage NCRs and quality observations
- Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and project requirements
- Monitor subcontractor quality
- Support audits and handover documentation
- Work closely with Site and Project Management teams
- Maintain quality standards throughout the project
