Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong fit-out and commercial background? Caval Recruitment is working exclusively with a well-regarded consultancy in Glasgow to find a Senior QS to join their busy and growing team.

The Role

You'll be working across an exciting portfolio of commercial fit-out projects — from Cat A and Cat B office fit-outs to retail, hospitality, and commercial refurbishments — delivering full QS services from feasibility through to final account. This is a client-facing role with real autonomy and excellent scope for progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cost planning and feasibility estimates across commercial fit-out schemes
  • Preparation of bills of quantities, tender documents and procurement strategies
  • Contract administration (primarily JCT)
  • Interim valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Value engineering and cost reporting to clients
  • Attending design team and client meetings
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team

What We're Looking For

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • MRICS qualified (or actively working towards)
  • 5+ years' post-graduate experience, with solid commercial fit-out exposure
  • Consultancy-side experience preferred
  • Confident managing your own projects and client relationships
  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Proficient in CostX, Bluebeam, or similar estimating software
