We are currently recruiting for an experienced QA Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor based in Wakefield.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background in highways, infrastructure, or similar civil engineering projects, looking for a long-term freelance role with the possibility of a permanent position.
Responsibilities
Carry out regular quality assurance inspections and site compliance checks.
Develop, implement, and manage QA processes using digital platforms such as Procore.
Review and process As-Built drawings and project documentation.
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with Project Management Plans and quality standards.
Monitor and manage subcontractor quality performance and compliance.
Maintain accurate QA records and support continuous improvement across projects.
Requirements
Industry-recognised qualification such as ONC/HNC, NVQ, or BEng in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Previous experience in a QA Engineer role within civil engineering, highways, or infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of construction quality assurance processes and setting out.
Experience using digital QA/document control platforms such as Procore is advantageous.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
