Job Title: Site Manager – Sub Contractor (Drylining, Partitions, Suspended Ceilings) Location: Greater Manchester (Site Based) Pay Rate: Β£200 – Β£250 a day Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Freelance Site Manager with a strong background in drylining and plastering to oversee the successful delivery of internal fit-out packages across a range of commercial and high-rise residential developments. Operating as part of a leading specialist subcontractor, you will take full site responsibility for managing labour, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring programme, quality, and health & safety targets are met. This is an excellent opportunity for a site professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing drylining, partitioning, ceilings, and plastering packages to high standards. You\’ll work closely with the Contracts Manager and Commercial team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with client specifications. Key Requirements: SMSTS At least 5 years\’ experience in Drylining Have worked for a Drylining subcontractor before Responsibilities: Manage on-site delivery of drylining, plastering, ceilings, and partitioning packages Coordinate labour, subcontractors, and material deliveries to meet programme deadlines Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, RAMS, and company procedures Interpret drawings and specifications to guide installation and ensure quality Monitor site progress, record daily activities, and report issues to senior management Conduct site inspections to maintain workmanship and quality control Liaise with main contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve site matters Lead site briefings and coordinate snagging and handover processes Maintain site records, including delivery logs, inductions, and toolbox talks Contacts to Apply: Joe McDonnell – Recruitment Consultant – UK Drylining, Suspended Ceilings & Fire Stopping: (phone number removed)
