The Project

As a highly experienced Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the site team and managing the daily operations across various large-scale residential developments, typically ranging from 50 to over 300 units across the North East. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, meticulously manage project documentation and progress reporting, and support successful project delivery for all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum:
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • CSCS Card
  • Fire Marshal
  • Scaffold Inspection
  • Full UK driving license
  • It is also essential that you hold the experience below:
    • Strong background of utilising Zutec and Digital plot books efficiently
    • A proven track record of success delivering projects in excess of £5m in a management position
    • An extensive background within the industry with at least 3 years of experience operating in a site management position for a leading contractor or subcontractor
  • Additional skills:
    • Competent IT / software skills
    • Comprehensive health and safety knowledge
    • Effective communication skills, verbal and written
    • Ability to organise and manage project schedules
    • A solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards
    • Proven ability to lead, support, and direct a team effectively
    • Knowledgeable of construction processes, techniques, and materials
    • In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building processes
    • Exceptional focus on detail to ensure adherence to quality standards and specification
    • Thorough understanding of key codes of practice impacting construction, including NHBC standards, building regulations

    Duties

    • Inductions
    • Tool box talks
    • Oversee subcontractors
    • Liaise with stakeholders and sub-contractors
    • Coordinate tasks among various construction phases
    • Handle any arising issues or conflicts throughout the project duration
    • Keep track of project expenditures, remaining within budget constraints
    • Oversee workmanship and materials to verify they align with project standards
    • Adhere to health and safety regulations and policies during all work operations
    • Communicate regularly and effectively maintaining strong relationships with clients
    • Recognise possible threats to the project, implementing strategies to address them
    • Ensure all mandatory NHBC inspections are completed promptly and as scheduled
    • Monitor resources, such as equipment and materials, ensuring they are used efficiently
    • Coordinate across multiple trades to uphold a smooth workflow and achieve timely completion
    • Conduct property handover inspections with customers in line with our customer care procedures
    • Manage daily site activities, overseeing the supervision of workers, sub-contractors and suppliers
    • Perform property handover inspections with customers in accordance with established customer care protocols
    • Managing resources such as materials, equipment, and labor to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively
    • Keeping accurate records of all aspects of the project, including contracts, permits, change orders, and correspondence
    • Organize and supervise inspections conducted by regulatory authorities, ensuring necessary corrections or adjustments are promptly addressed
