Senior Estimator - Surfacing

The Assignment

As an experienced Surfacing Estimator, you will be tasked with winning work and tendering for new business within a surfacing contractor based in Norfolk. The ideal candidate will have strong estimating and winning experience, along with a contacts book in surfacing to assist in winning contracts. The successful candidate will be located within a couple of hours of Kings Lynn and be happy to work on a hybrid basis of a few days in the office, some time out with clients/site, and some days from home. This is a new and exciting role for a growing surfacing business!

Requirements

For this role, it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum:

1. CSCS Card
2. Driving License

Desirable qualifications include highways passport, SMSTS, IOSH/NEBOSH, etc.

It is essential that you hold the skills & experience below:

1. Experience pricing surfacing works and winning work in tenders and direct with clients
2. Extensive experience in the surfacing industry

The Role

Job Title: Estimator/Senior Estimator
Projects: Surfacing, Public Realm, Highways
Location: Kings Lynn/Norfolk (hybrid role with some time in office and some at home/out on site/meeting with clients)

Duties

1. Working closely with the contracting team when winning work to ensure effective delivery of schemes
2. Tendering surfacing and similar projects across the region
3. Networking and canvassing clients and councils for further work opportunities
4. Working closely with the commercial team
5. Improving and promoting company profile and activities

Remuneration

The client is offering an excellent package – salary 60k-70k for the right candidate plus a comprehensive benefits package including car or allowance, pension, healthcare, bonus, and more.
