The Role

Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for producing and completing mechanical engineering drawings and installation packages for retail clients (M&S, ASDA, Morrisons, Tesco & Boots) nationwide.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on Mechanical packages on Retail projects
  • Previous experience using CAD & Revit (Essential)
  • Experience in designing and delivering mechanical engineering solutions
  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (Essential)

Duties

  • Producing technical design calculations and associated reports
  • Data analysis
  • Produce calculations and supporting analysis to develop mechanical solutions for clients
  • Conduct surveys and site assessments to identify suitable mechanical solutions
  • Meet with clients and other stakeholders to determine requirements
  • Support contractors with development of suitable mechanical designs
  • Assess the suitability of contractor designs and provide critical analysis
  • Conduct inspections during and on completion to ensure alignment with design standards
  • Work with wider team to develop solutions to client needs
  • Production of accurate drawings
  • Production of accurate design calculations
  • Producing work to client deadlines
  • Responding to stakeholder queries promptly
