Role Overview:

As the Technical Designer (Building Regulations), you will lead compliance and design delivery across retail banking fit-out projects nationwide. You will ensure Building Regulations compliance, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality design solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced fit-out environment.
  • Experience coordinating and reviewing inputs from architectural, MEP, fire safety, structural, security, and specialist design teams.
  • Ability to analyse, challenge, and verify drawings, specifications, and technical evidence.
  • Strong understanding of compliance documentation, change control, audit trails, and Golden Thread requirements.
  • Ability to demonstrate PAS 8671-level competence or equivalent Principal Designer competence.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDEs).

DUTIES:

Reporting to the Account Director, lead Building Regulations compliance activities across multiple retail banking fit-out projects from design through to completion. Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure designs are fully integrated.
