We are looking for an experienced Civils Estimator to join our commercial team on a freelance basis for an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension.

This role will focus on civil engineering schemes, supporting the pricing and delivery of work across framework agreements and bespoke client contracts.

The Role

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects.
  • Pricing work for both framework agreements and bespoke contracts.
  • Meeting with clients to discuss project requirements and develop strong working relationships.
  • Working closely with the commercial team to produce competitive, high-quality tenders.
  • Visiting sites where required to assess project requirements and support the estimating process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience estimating civil engineering projects.
  • A strong understanding of pricing methodologies for civils works.
  • Experience working on framework and negotiated contracts.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence when meeting clients.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider commercial team.

Working Arrangements

  • This is a hybrid role, with a mixture of:
  • Home working.
  • Office-based working (Marlow, Buckinghamshire or Midlands).
  • Site visits and client meetings as required.
