Experience:
- Extensive experience as a Finishing Foreman on refurbishment projects
- Previous experience working on university or educational projects preferred
- Proven track record as a Finishing Foreman
- Must have been previously placed by Caval with excellent references
- Strong knowledge of finishing trades and refurbishment works
- Confident managing subcontractors and site labour
- Good health and safety knowledge
- Strong eye for detail and quality of finish
- Able to manage snagging and ensure works are completed to a high standard
- Willing to work weekends if required
Certs:
- CSCS card
- Relevant site qualifications
- SMSTS / SSSTS desirable
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate finishing trades on site
- Oversee day-to-day finishing works across the university refurbishment
- Manage subcontractors and direct site labour
- Ensure works are completed to a high standard and in line with the programme
- Coordinate with the Site Manager and other trades
- Monitor progress and report any issues or delays
- Carry out quality checks and manage snagging works
- Ensure all finishing works meet the required specification
- Maintain good health and safety standards throughout the project
- Keep the site clean, tidy and organised
- Liaise with other site teams to ensure smooth handovers
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the site as required
