The Project
As an experienced Site Manager / Site Supervisor, you will ensure that the work is carried out on time and to the company quality standards. This role will be managing small civils projects nationwide. The Client will pay for accommodation and expenses when working away. Must be based in The North West as their material warehouse is based in Manchester and will require weekly pickups.
Requirements
- For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum:
- First Aid
- CSCS Card (Gold or Black card)
- Driving Licence
- SMSTS / SSSTS
- Experienced as a Site Manager / Supervisor on civils infrastructure schemes for at least 5 years in the UK including groundworks, concrete, kerbs, roads, bridges, earthworks, foundations
- Happy to work away from home is necessary
The Role
- Location: Nationwide Travel - NW based
- Duration: Long Term Freelance / Temp to Permanent
- Reporting to: Project Manager
Duties
- Responsible for quality of works on site
- Maintaining Health & Safety standards on site
- Attending and participating in project meetings
- Completing briefings and toolbox talks
- Producing RAMS and briefing the workforce to ensure understanding
- Managing the workforce in the delivery of complex civil works
- Read and understand drawings and take accurate material take offs
- Ensure work is being completed on time and within budget
- Complete Construction phase plans, Environmental plans, ITPs and Quality plans
- Liaise with the project stakeholders and client personnel as required
- Administration / completion of site paperwork, records & head office returns
- Managing and ordering resources and materials at each stage of the project
- Managing subcontractors by ensuring the programme of works are completed
- Plan, coordinate & motivate effective deployment of allocated personnel and resources
- Update weekly progress on site programme and site drawings & share with Project / Contracts Managers
- Promote & implement site specific management plans to ensure site activities comply with company policies
