Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Highways Supervisor to join a long-term highways project in Cambridge. You will be responsible for supervising daily site operations, coordinating site teams and subcontractors, and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Highways Supervisor
- Strong background in highways or civil engineering projects
- Excellent knowledge of health, safety, and quality procedures
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- CSCS Card and First Aid qualification preferred
Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day site activities
- Coordinate operatives and subcontractors
- Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification
- Monitor quality and progress of works
- Conduct site inspections and toolbox talks
- Report progress and issues to the Site Manager/Project Manager
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
